I need a little help here folks,
first time poster on this board, I was recently asked, why do I support ABB, sadly, I was at a loss for words, I'm a Kucinich leaning person but If Kerry or Edwards are going to take the lead, I need to know more about their policies than Kerrys' Vietnam service. Any input I can get concerning jobs, welfare, medical care would be appreciated. Thanks, owc.

Try On The Issues
as well as each candidate's web sites.

I have only one thing to say to anyone still supports George W. Bush* for president: "Pull your GODDAM HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS and open your eyes."

3. Address the ABB issue first
"George W(easel) Bush has done more harm to this country in four short years than Al Qaeda could in two decades. He's fattened the rich and allowed them enough extra funds to rebuild factories and offices offshore while American workers are fired, he's made the people in every country in the world hate the USA, he's nearly bankrupted the treasury, and we won't survive another four years of him. This is about survival, not party."

As for Kerry and the others, visit their websites. Visit sites that track Congressional voting patterns. Visit sites for organizations that are of interest to you, and see how they rate them. Use the primary to identify the candidate who votes the best on YOUR issues. This is the time to make your own feelings on this known. There are plenty of lemmings who will vote on what they think
is "electability." The primaries are the time to let the party know that progressives are still out there, and if they want our votes, they're going to have to work for them.

5. Vote DK in the primaries. We need his voice at the convention
Between Edwards and Kerry I support Edwards because Kerry is in the awful and IMHO criminal secret society known as Skull and Bones.

I know of too little dirt on Edwards to not support him over Kerry.

For me it boils down to a number of things but huge among them is class.

Kerry is one of the ultra rich and educated (sic - should be "indoctrinated") at exclusive prep schools and the ivy league.

Edwards is from a working class background. Was the first in his family to college and went to a public high school. Made his fortune representing poor folks and common folks against corporations.

Kerry is the richest man in Congress (due in part to marrying two wealthy women) worth more than a Half BILLION bucks.

Kerry's family funded the creation of the secret order of Skull and Bones in the 1930's which is IMHO a Nazi-like organization based on the teachings of Hegel (the State is the highest order of reason and individuality must bow to the state's needs).

If you want more on Kerry dumail me.

6. Here's a quick run-down, including connection to Bev Harris and bbv.
By all means, do look at the materials on the issues that each candidate has on his website. (the links are in a post up above).

While you are at the Kucinich website take a good look around. Lots of information. Lots of activity. Lots of photos. Animations.

He especially has a great deal of material on the issues, hitting many issues others are not touching (example: blackboxvoting).

In fact on the electronic voting issue he even assigned a couple of his Congressional staff people to work with Bev Harris and some of the top programmers to help examine the infamous Diebold Memos when they were first discovered and to learn all they could about the vulnerabilities. This was when college students were being sued by the Justice Department for posting the memos on the web. Well, then HE himself posted some of the memos on his Congressional web site and dared the Justice Department to sue a Congressman. The Justice Department dropped all suits!

No one brings more clarity to the issues than he does. And he has clear recommendations for the corrections that are needed.
On most of them he has actually introduced legislation in Congress.

His liberal voting record is outstanding. Voted against PATRIOT ACT and helped get 66 other Progressives in the House (not all were Democrats) to do so too, while the Senate sat on its hands. Voted against Iraq War Resolution and helped organize a very large contingent of House Democrats to do the same. Labor rates his voting record at 98%.

In the first major U.S. protest against so-called "Free Trade" he was a part of the huge crowds in Seattle in 1999 against the WTO. (my congressman was there too, but there weren't very many others).
