Poll question: Would you vote for a candidate endorsed by God?
If God somehow endorsed a candidate, would you vote for that person?

18. It depends on what SHE said
You heathen, you. :toast:

Actually, if God is going to endorse someone, I fully expect God to make the announcement Herself rather than through a spokesperson. Otherwise, the endorsement is invalid as far as I'm concerned.

22. Who would verify the endorsement truly is from God?
Short of a major event in which God reveals himself to all, how would we know he really endorsed someone?

I mean, if it comes from Oral Roberts, Pat Robertson, James Dobson, or someone like that, I would have serious issues believing any of them.

35. Are you seriously trying to imply that there would be some way
to know who God favored? If so, how would God let us know? Currently, more than one candidate claims to be God's choice. Could they be lying or do they have an inside track not available to most of us?

why not just make that candidate more compelling?

If God were not, what would make his endorsement better than, say, mine?

34. Depends on what you mean by "God's endorsement"
Neither Mitt Romney or Mike Huckabee have directly claimed God's endorsement, but by emphasizing their religious backgrounds, they have certainly implied it. Pat Robertson has endorsed Rudy 9u11iani, and Pat claims that God endorses everything he says.

But until I see God, or Jesus, or the White Buffalo Calf Woman, or the ghost of my late missionary great grandmother show up and personally mention a candidate's name, I ain't buying it.

Pretty sure that Jesus would vote for Dennis Kucinich though. O8)

37. God does not have humanity's best interests in mind.
A blood thirsty and capricious deity must be ignored at all costs. Billions have died on God's account and for his entertainment.

Let's put these childish mythologies away. Let's begin by voting against any candidate that mentions God.
