John Edwards is a great candidate
Just wanted to put up a positive post, as some have suggested.

The more I see and hear of this guy the better I like him.

He is saying what needs to be said, and I believe he'd govern as president with the priority of making sure the government works for the majority, rather than the elites. And he would also do a lot to raise public awareness of corporate abuse, and help to inspire a larger sense of hope and determination that it is possible to change things for the better.

5. He was, but can't win and should bow out now
Sorry

Just calling it as I see it. This guy is acting like Ralph Nader.

There comes a point when people begin to confuse the message with the messenger. I agree with Sen. Edwards on almost every issue but I can no longer support him as a candidate. I am also afraid of the consequences of his continuing onto the convention.

Look at what The Green Party candidate did in 2000. Instead of a President Gore (someone who has gone on to win the Nobel Peace Prize for his work on global warming) we got a President Bush (who needed two more studies from his own people to convince him that global warming was real, but still won't admit that humans are causing it). Thanks Green Party !!! Could anything possibly have been worse for our environment than Bush instead of Gore?

Edwards is now pulling votes from the anti-establishment candidate so that the establishment candidate is able to win a plurality when she should be losing badly.

My only hope is that Edwards is trying to be King/Queen maker at the convention by having enough delegates of his own to "Pick" the nominee.

8. It's way too early to liken Edwards to Nader
Who is the anti-establishment candidate you speak of? (Just curious, I'm not understanding your logic here.)

12. It's just a tad early for such pronouncements
And if he wants to stay in until the convention so that he can affect the debate, that's up to him.

7. What a wonderful First Lady
Elizabeth would be a terrific first lady - hoping her health holds up. She has the kind of "nice" that nobody coached her into having.

13. I thought so, too, starting in 2004
Which is why I don't understand why he has been attacking Clinton so viciously.

Started with his demand that she falls to her knees, pounds her chest and declare mea culpa - for voting for the IWR.

And now getting between her and Obama tiff.

Let's face it. There are still too many voters, in red states mostly, who would not vote for a woman or for a black. So many looked at Edwards as the white alternative. Not PC but reality. And I think that many of the MSM viewed him positively.

So I don't know why he has to go negative on her instead of emphasizing his positive qualities. Is this a way to get a media attention? By attacking Clinton?

14. Looks like Nevada thinks so.
It is now a statistical dead heat

http://www.rgj.com/blogs/inside-nevada-politics/2008/01/new-poll-democratic-race-in-nevada-dead.html

A close Nevada finish means Edwards wins South Carolina
