Poll question: Should Edwards supporter Fadedrose vote "uncommitted" or for Kucinich?
I don't know how to make a poll. Those colored bars, etc., are a mystery to me. I am in Michigan and the primary's tomorrow. What to do, what to do, what to do???

If you want to help, just hit Reply and put one word in the subject line, either "Uncommitted" or "Kucinich." Greatly appreciate. Thank you.

If you're putting in a message, put (mi).

3. Vote for Dennis!
A vote for Kucinich benefits Edwards as well. A win in Michigan for Kucinich would keep the corporations and media whores from perpetuating the illusion of a Hillary vs Obama race, and since the media would never dare cover Dennis without also covering John, that means a 4 way race is still very much alive. Even more so if Edwards takes South Carolina, which I hope he does.

6. Uncommitted.
If you're ABH, that's the vote for you. It's also the closest you can get to voting for your candidate.

10. Uncomitted (mi)
A win for Kuccinich under these circumstances is a bit meaningless, but having uncomitted beat Hillary is a big shot against the status quo.

13. Kucinich. "Uncommitted" won't count for anything. If you're for Edwards, then it's to your advantage
to make your non-Clinton vote count by voting for one of the non-Clinton candidates that are actually on your ballot.

A vote for Kucinich won't hurt Edwards in any way; since a write-in vote for Edwards, or an uncommitted vote won't do anything FOR him.

And if you are an Edwards supporter, then you are presumably responding to his pro-middle class, anti-corporate message. Why not help amplify that message by voting for Kucinich, who has been promoting that same message for YEARS?

Again, you can't actually HELP Edwards by voting "uncommitted", and you can't HURT Edwards by voting for Kucinich.

14. I am voting UNCOMMITTED. Gore, Edwards, Obama, Richardson, Biden supporters should do the same
If who you like isn't on the ballot, that is the best way to say so.

"MY WIFE AND I ARE VOTING UNCOMMITTED. WE WILL WORK WITH THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY TO MAKE SURE THAT UNCOMMITTED DELEGATES GO TO THAT CONVENTION TRULY UNCOMMITTED SO THAT OBAMA CAN COMPETE FOR THEIR VOTE." Congressman Conyers (D)

And obviously Edwards and others can compete for their vote too.

and when Dennis threw his endorsement to Obama I was pissed.
I'm an Edwards supporter. I have since gotten over it.

They're right. The DLC big people ARE the ones telling us to vote "uncommitted" and they probably have a way of channeling the votes to HRC. Scary.

Then again, Dennis campaigned in MI when he wasn't supposed to and I wonder if they'll disappear his votes as punishment.

I care who my vote goes to. Rather not vote than have the wrong person get it.

Be glad you don't live in Michigan people. I already emailed Levin and told him I wasn't voting for him, even tho I sent him a donation 2 mos ago.

38. If that's true about the DLC -
then I'd vote for Kucinich, regardless of whether he campaigned there or not. I wouldn't do anything that the DLC was wanting me to do, if I knew about it.

And, for what it's worth, on Randi Rhodes today, she strongly suggested voting for Dennis.

Again, good luck -- and I AM glad I don't live in Michigan -- this campaign is nuts enough without this thrown into the works.

The gov and Stabenow are pushing to get our delegates seated.
Uncommitted is the only way any candidate that might still be in the race could get a delegate.

20. I'm voting Uncommitted
It's the only option really, especially considering that Kucinich threw his Iowa caucus voters to Obama.

This way there is at least a chance that some delegates will go to JRE.

31. Edwards isn't on the ballot
because Michigan broke party rules by moving up their primary, so Edwards and Obama pulled out. Even a write-in vote for Edwards won't count.

Which is not to say I don't like Kucinich, but Edwards has a bigger chance than he does.

36. How do you figure that?
Edited on Mon Jan-14-08 11:28 PM by Kucinich4America
98% of the country hasn't voted yet. Dennis winning Michigan would get his campaign taken seriously whether or not the Michigan delegates were counted. And I would expect the DLC to fight every bit as hard to get the Kucinich delegates into the convention as they would the Hillary delegates. (yeah that was a little :sarcasm: but it will still make national headlines when he wins.)

39. exactly, so saying Kucinich can win but Edwards can't is premature
Edited on Tue Jan-15-08 12:42 AM by Liz7
as is likening Edwards to Nader. I didn't mean to discount Kucinich, but based on the two primaries that have taken place and the polls, Edwards has substantially more support, and being told by a Kucinich supporter that Edwards can't win is ironic. That's just logic, not a slam.

That said, I do like Kucinich, and I like your optimism.
