Even as an Obama supporter, I'd love to see the media and talking heads shit their pants !

And, I think it would be good for the country.

6. All three frontrunners have their strengths.
More importantly, they're all Democrats.

The media would freak if Edwards took Nevada with no help from them.

Somehow they would probably take credit for it.

To Hell with the MSM!

22. Heck - A Brokered Convention
I'm an Edwards supporter. I realize now his chances of winning the nomination are slim and I do not want him to accept a #2 slot again - bad for him and won't help the nominee.

What I want now is for Edwards to have as many delegates as possible without winning and without there being a clear winner.

Then, as we approach the convention, John Edwards will become the most important man in the Democratic party. As the negotiations go on, his delegates will be a package deal with the best of his agenda.

And of course, to keep the media guessing and showing the pundits for the idiots they are for being too quick to dismiss him.

Heck, let Kucinich win a few states too, the pundits would really crap themselves then.

I just like John and Elizabeth as I do Barack and Michelle.

This Obama guy also loathes how the media ignored Edwards. I was happy to see that Bill Maher's show mentioned that several times. It's the truth.

They also did it to Kuncinich.

43. The more Clinton and Obama get down in the mud the better Edwards is going to look
I would not be surprised if he pulled off a shocker. If Clinton and Obama keep sliming each other, Edwards could be the compromise candidate.

In my opinion, a long, hard fought primary will yield a battle hardened candidate who's going to be ready to take the fight to the Republicans in November. In 2004, the race was effectively over after New Hampshire--that did not serve us well. I would like to see the candidates focus more on the issues and less on this identity politics and personal crap.

52. During the 1986 New York Mets-Boston Red Sox World Series
Edited on Tue Jan-15-08 01:46 PM by rocknation
I fought back tears as I got up to change the channel before the Mets made the out which would end the final game. Then that fateful ground ball got through Bill Buckner's legs, and the winning runs scored. I didn't move a muscle: with my back still bent and my hand reaching for the TV knob, I thought, "This is terrible--I wanted the Mets to win so badly, I'm hallucinating." It wasn't until the third time they ran the replay that I felt safe jumping up and down! Well, that's the exact same feeling I had on Iowa night.

My prediction had been along the lines of Hillary 35, Obama 32, Edwards 30. As luck would have it, I couldn't watch all the coverage due to a last-minute issue I had to deal with. The first time I tuned in, 25% of the precincts were in, and it was an even three-way split. "Told you so," I thought smugly, "NOBODY is going to run away with this."

The second time I tuned in, there was a big 38 on the screen. "Hillary got THAT much?" I thought. It took a few seconds for my mind to process it, but I was so expecting to see Hillary's name and pic next to that 38 it took a couple of second to realize they were Obama's! I was shocked--SHOCKED, but there was more to come. I looked down to the pic and name below Obama's...and THEY weren't Hillary's, either! I couldn't believe it, but I absolutely loved the prospect of the MSM and pollsters trying to explain it all to us.

I swore off polls immediately, and it paid off immediately. I ignored all the hype about Hillary being dead and Obama winning by nearly ten in NH, so the results were less of a shock. But I'll definitely have another "Mets '68 moment" it the NH recount makes Obama the winner!
