My ballot arrived!!!
Hey Tammywammy!

I got my ballot and voted!!!

Also updated my voter reg for the move. We have another primary in June in California for the state, fed and local races.

But I was so happy to vote for Hillary!

My husband (who was on fence) voted for Hillary as did my parents.

We're (Democrats) are gonna WIN!!

Cheers to my fellow Hillary supporters in California and my pals for Obama, Edwards and DK.

Feels good, don't it?

1. I was so excited when I got my ballot a few days ago
I'm overseas and was afraid it wouldn't come.

This is the first presidential election that I've been old enough to vote in, and I was so proud to vote for Hillary - it's really thrilling to vote for a candidate you're passionate about, isn't it?

The only think I'm kind of peeved about is that I'm a Floridian, and so my vote technically isn't counting. But I knew that I couldn't be this involved in a campaign and not vote. Fortunately, most Florida Dems I know are also voting, regardless of our status.

Voting is a great thing. Thanks for this thread, Ronny! I think it's important that we remember that, at the end of the day, all this discussion and arguing is actually about getting out there and voting!

2. Isn't it great?
I remember my first election. 1980. I voted for Ted Kennedy in the California primary. I had to make up for my mom voting for Nixon in '60, she was pregnant with me at the time ..... I hope I kicked her. She's seen the light since then.

4. Doncha love it?
GAWD!! It feels so good to vote. I'll never forget in 1992 when me and then-boyfriend voted for Bill. Walked out of the booth, he kissed me and had to dash off to work.

On 1/20/93 we sat in bed and drank coffee and the minute Bill said "So help my god", our alarm clock went off and a local San Francisco station was playing "Don't Stop" by Fleetwood Mac. I started crying!

Paul and I parted ways, but one thing he told me years later .... "I never really voted before I met you, but when I saw you cry when Clinton won .. you showed me what it really is all about."

5. I've never voted absentee
I just get a real kick of walking down to the polling place, chatting with the old ladies, voting, getting my sticker. I get all giddy.
