Closing statements at the debate last night
Anyone catch Sharpton "overtalk" Edwards at his closing statement time? This left Edwards short of time, at the point when he could make his best case. Edwards could have spoke over his time, thus screwing Kerry, or shorten his remark. He shortened his remark.
Do you think that Sharpton did this to get more time, to hurt Edwards, or to help Kerry? I thought that Sharpton was basically taking the time because he knew that Edwards would not call him on it OR talk into Kerry's time.

1. Edwards has gotten less talking time than Kerry at prior
debates. He's in a no-win position because if he's assertive, people make negative attributions, but if he's not, his message isn't heard.

The panel should have redirected the strenuous efforts they made to talk over Edwards into keeping time so that all the candidates had equal time.

This was the absolute worst of the debates and I can only hope the next one will be better and more fairly managed.

2. Does he have time to recover?
In watching the debate last night it seemed that Kerry talked 'down' to Edwards several times...almost dismissing him. Does Edwards have time before Super Tuesday to get back up and be the positive assertive person he has been showing us?

3. Well, if he doesn't attack he needs a Kerry slip
I'm not sure that we don't already have the nominee.
