My right wing pal's views on Deforestation

The Deforestation Issue is easily described by the following two points:

A Capitalist is in favor of developing Real Estate for profit and to provide quality homes to those who can afford them versus living in trees like a bunch of Apes. Capitalism is the best system whereby people are rewarded for excellence if they strive and achieve something of value.

A Socialist is in favor of using the issue of "Deforestation" as justification for moving our Capitalistic society closer and closer to a failed economic scheme that stifles financial growth and the Human Spirit.

Nuclear waste: Load it on a rocket and hurl it into space for a rendezvous with Venus or some other dead planet in the solar system. Problem solved!

Rainforests in Brazil: If they don't do the right thing by the planet, then we should liberate the Brazilians who care about deforestation from their tyrannical leaders who authorize it.
