Poll question: Should Obama's web site from 5 years ago be considered a campaign issue?
It's been bandied by the Clinton campaign about Obama's web site in 2003 (that's right, 5 years ago) having the video of him being against the Iraq War (http://barack-obama-videos.com/watch/?vid=3422) taken down. The text of his speech was on his web site and the video was all over the net.

Should what was on or off Obama's web site five years ago be a valid campaign issue?

5. It was his web site where he was running for his Senate seat
The video had been on there, but they decided to add other content. The text of his speech was still on the site and he campaigned that he was against the war when he was running for the Senate seat.

3. If his campaign narrative is he's always opposed the war, then what is and has been on his site ...
... is relevant.

9. Should Obama's political record and related docs from 5+ yrs
be a campaign issue? I should "hope" so.

6. No! No! No! Nothing from Obama's past or his Senate record should be mentioned - EVER!!
So WHAT if what he says now isn't true? He's dreamy!

And read the OP, he removed the video.

The text was still there.

Where's the problem?

11. Exactly! So nothing he said in 2003 should be held against him!
So WHAT if the record shows he's being untruthful! He's pretty!

12. A baseless claim he's being untruthful that has nothing to do with the OP.
No steak and all sizzle is what I see in your petty attacks on fellow Democrats.

And he posted the text of the speech on his website.

Where's the problem? Seriously....

14. Nice push poll
Nothing from five years ago should be a valid campaign issue, then. That would include the IWR.

A lot of cake-having and eating-it-too going on here, it seems.

Jesus. This one takes the fucking cake for rude, ignorant, assholian insults I've gotten at DU. I'll be saving it after your rude and disgusting personal attack is deleted so I can remember why I've put you on Ignore.

FYI, I'm NOT a Hillary supporter, just someone who doesn't like seeing intellectually dishonest attacks, but you apparently need your own reading comprehension class and crack-smoking intervention. Good luck with that.

And he's not running on that speech. Hillary, Bill and the His44 crowd can say that all they want.

Its ok for everybody to go back to the day before Hillary was born...but its not ok to go back 5 years with Obama.

Boy, you guys want it all.

Maybe he could take an example from Kucinich and sue.
