Anyone see Aaron Brown go off right after the debates?
I thought that was cool as hell. Here's the lines:

AARON BROWN, CNN ANCHOR: Good evening again.
We have lots of politics on the program tonight. The debate just completed tops the news. But this is about politics of another sort, to start with.

We admit we don't do causes very well on the program. And I don't do outrage well at all, yet, tonight, a cause and an outrage. The decision by the speaker of the House to deny the independent commission investigating the 9/11 attack on America a 60-day extension -- that's all, 60 days -- to complete its work is unconscionable and indefensible, which, no doubt, explains why neither the speaker, nor any member of the House leadership, nor none of their press secretaries would come on the program to talk about it, despite repeated requests.

The commission itself has gone about its work quietly. It's had to fight tooth and nail to get necessary information. And now this, an arbitrary decision to deny not just the commission -- that's the least of it -- but the country the chance to know all of what happened, how it happened, and how best to prevent it from happening again.

Perhaps, the speaker and his team assume you do not care. I hope they're wrong. I hope you care enough to write them and e-mail them and call them until they relent. Do that. Do it for the victims and their families. Do it for the country that was attacked and for history.

I have to admit I almost cried.

5. i always liked aaron brown
don't always agree with him. but he has been pretty objective. i don't like it when people on here were calling him a media whore and other things just because he disagreed with them on something or he sent them some email which they didn't like. media whores online correctly puts aaron brown on the list of non-whores. i hope in the future whenever any of us have a disagreement with him we do it without attacking him as a right winger or media whore or anything else like that. just the facts and opinion without getting nasty. this time, we should all send him an email thanking him for this.

13. And I have as well - a fellow that is honest and in the media is hard to
find - so I am glad Aaron still on.

I hate it when his producer jerks him to the right - no doubt for "balance" since in todays media if you are not right of center you are not "balanced"

I just like Aaron -

and last night was a great 30 seconds!

14. I saw that too.
I don't usually like it when the media get emotional about issues, but he is right. This is not something that should be about politics. Every person in this country should be pissed as hell about this obvious blocking of the truth.

15. They should have had a worthy
reporter at the site of the debate to quiz Kucinich and the other candidates about it. THAT would have been something to see!

17. My e-mail to Congressman Hastert-
"Mr. Speaker, I am astounded that ANY member of the United States Congress would deny the committee as much time as it needs to complete a full investigation and to provide answers to the American people. This is not a subject that will go away, Mr. Speaker. The American Public has a right to and is demanding answers and accountability. You serve US Mr. Speaker, a fact which appears to have escaped you with regards to this matter.

Rest assured I will not sit idle whilst members of the Congress elected to represent MY interests deliver decisions completely contrary to the public interest. You will either reverse this decision or you will answer to the people of this country as to why you chose not to pursue the facts surrounding the horrors of that day. I will see to that, Mr. Speaker, and I will not be alone.

Sincerely
DL
Registered Democratic Voter
and Vigilant Citizen"
