Empty Rhetoric versus Policy: Which do you prefer?
Edited on Fri Feb-27-04 10:21 AM by JHBowden
Some around here are happy with very conservative Democrats as long as they yell the rhetoric they want to hear. Others prefer candidates who can play the word games to defeat the Republicans and deliver liberal policy, but unfortunately the words aren't as appealling to the liberal ear.

Which would you rather hear? I'm a policy guy myself, though I do see a lot of fans of words and empty jestures here.

So I don't really care what I hear, as long as I hear the numbers to back it up. I think that's why I liked Dean, when I saw him speak he told me what he was going to do, why he was going to do it, and how he was going to pay for it. That's just the way I like things- logical order.

Edit: spelling.

2. That's easy....
Empty Rhetoric.

Why if ya had to sit around and listen to policy all day, it would bore the hell outta ya.</sarcasm?>

The American sheeple feed on empty rhetoric and if ya start adding policy to their feed, they'll never vote for you as head shepherd!
