Is anybody in a good mood here?
Honestly, I haven't seen so much unpleasantness here in a long time. If I had to hear, rather than read, all the stuff that is being said I would think I was in a lunatic asylum with howling and scream from a bunch of madmen.

All of these accusations of racism, sexism, dirty tricks, treason, Satan worshiping, or whatever are not contributing to anything. This has devolved from a free exchange of ideas into a free exchange of acrimony and hatred. I venture to say that ignore lists have become so swelled in all camps that soon they will only be having conversations with themselves.

Is anybody in a good mood here? Is anybody pleasant? Or have we all become a bunch of wild beasts, tearing at each other until we see blood?

Stop trying to provoke. Stop trying to incite. All you are doing is playing into the Republicans' hands and you are not helping the cause of your respective candidates. Purge your ignore lists. Make amends with those you have personally insulted.

If the Democrats do not even come together, how will we defeat what will be a determined opposition in the fall?

Please, be civil. Thank you.

3. It's been nothing short of awful.
I've become horribly depressed after reading all of the garbage posted here today. We spend far more time working against eachother than tearing down the Republicans. Let's leave it up to our voters to determine who the best candidate is. Let's trust their judgement. That's what being Democrats is about.

5. Not bad, but introspective, having just watched Sicko.
The points made in that profound film actually further invalidate, for me, the bickering and infighting seen here. There are much bigger fish to fry - the Dems have a slate of candidates that can wipe the floor with the Pugs, but that movie just reinforced to me that our political system is pretty fu*#ing broken. It is going to take much more than a good candidate, good and fair election, and better president to start to fix what is broken. So much wrong - the power of the lobbyists, our health care system, how we treat people in our country, Iraq.....

So, I will just glance over the infighting posts and watch for topics of greater substance and relevance...and sit and reflect and think.

9. I've tried to make the point that our infighting diminishes the effort to bring
about true change. We need to fight the opposition to equality and liberty with superior ideas. Their ideas are sleak and seductive and we have to fight them with all of our energy.

13. If that's your definition of "gr8 fun!!" so be it.
We're not even talking about ideas anymore. To quote the Onion, we're "talking about bullshit". This accomplishes nothing.

accomplish ANYTHING. So let them fight it out. Let them be
thoroughly vetted. The best man/woman will be standing in the end.

I support Hillary over the others slightly, but only slightly and her supporters can be nothing short of awful sometimes.

Plus, I've been away most of yesterday and today. So I missed all the really nasty stuff.

And, just think, it'll probably all be decided with Super Tuesday and then everyone will line up behind whomever it is.
