I'm watching Sharpton prove why he shouldn't be included in the debates
He is muddling the messages of candidates who could actually win.

simplistic my ass, Two Americas is a rhetorical technique to bring up all the things sharpton is talking about.

3. It's hard to trump plain truth with bullshit, even for such talented

confectioners of rococo phrases as Kerry and Edwards.

4. The crowd seems to think he has great responses.
I for one think Sharpton nails the cultural issues and is a very important African American voice.

7. I think Sharpton does a great job
of trying to get the others to clarify their responses. We need him and Kucinich raising more issues and points.

12. I'm watching him and Kucinich prove why they should
They are the BEST way to assure others their vote and their voice will be heard at the convention.

15. Al talks to the people
Edited on Thu Feb-26-04 10:29 PM by The Lone Liberal
He is not interested in rhetoric, he is interested in saying something that will become a battle cry, be repeated. That is one thing that the right has bested us on, "death tax" "integrity" one word that is repeated and repeated, well Al, gave us a couple tonight. Don’t kid yourself, Sharpton knows he cannot win, he is there for the Democrats. We had best get down off our intellectual high horses and recognize that it is going to take the people to beat the power this time.

18. good now the Sharpton people, defenders on DU
can be disaffected with Kerry supporters too--like Edwards, Dean, and DK people. Yes exclude Sharpton from the debates--quiet all dissent and people who don't fall into line.
