I haven't seen Obama's official campaign stoking the race card, only supporters
and the MSM. I predict Obama will try to put an end to the bullshit himself because he will see the MSM is going to hurt him again in their effort to eliminate Clinton.

5. The candidates have been reasonable.
In December Taylor Marsh--Who does not like Obama at all used the word "Cannibalism" about him in one of her Huffington Posts. That is either race-baiting or pretty dumb.

2. Well said. Both sides should probably put a tighter rein on their supporters,
but doing that must be pretty hard.

Its offensive to our Black Americans on DU and in the Democratic Party. Have a little respect. It begins to show that Democrats are much like Repukes in this kind of crap

4. And if he doesn't ... to hell with him. This is the worst influence we
could have and he's said nothing. This is leadership? Bringing us together? Healing wounds?

Some of us are going to have to keep living and working in minority communities when this is over. Obama's lack of action is making this harder.

12. Get a grip, okay. Obama has not attacked the Clintons personally..
Yet they do it to him time and time again. If they keep it up a republican will definately win in 2008 because blacks will stay home. So keep catapulting the propaganda if you want. Most people really do know who has been doing the below-the-belt attacks.

16. Actually, I've been in the Bowery w/confidence. The worst day of my
secular life was facing the dentist on 5th Avenue who was offering me a full scholarship to the University of Rochester. I was, like any other urban minority, eligible for charity. Nice, huh?

Well, I got the deal, but learned in only a few weeks that I belonged in Brooklyn ... or at least here in the city. It's funny where I live now ... on a Jewish avenue surrounded by Caribbean, African American and Pakistani pockets. After 9/11, the mosques along Coney Island Avenue were devastated by the raids.

Of course, I have an African American congress critter ... it varies between Jew and Black - oh, and our first Caribbean was just elected in the next district.

Be careful about your prejudices. My work "downtown" has made the evening news. And yes, it was scary to stand outside that former crack house offering free computer lessons, but providence protected me. And no, it wasn't as bad as that day I had to face the dentist on 5th Avenue. You see, I had everything to prove that day ... and prevailed.

Thanks for reminding me.

6. How can he put an end to what the CLINTON campaign is saying???
How can Obama prevent the media from reporting what the Clinton campaign is saying?

Each of the incidents that we have been discussing here lately have come from either the mouth of Hillary/Bill or one of her advisors/supporters. How does Obama have any control over that at all?

10. Oh, I'm sorry, you must not have been around here this week. Here's a recap.
1. Bill Clinton refers to Obama (a 46-year old man) as a "kid"
2. Hillary Clinton downplays the efforts of MLK, saying that it "took a President" to accomplish change
3. Andrew Cuomo (NY Attorney General and Clinton supporter) uses the racially-charged statement "Shuck n' Jive"
4. A nameless Clinton advisor says that people should only vote for Obama if they want an "Imaginary Hip Black Friend"

What has the Obama campaign said or done about these incidents? Nothing.

Take alone, most of these comments could be dismissed, but these incidents are happening one after another. So, I ask you, which campaign is playing this "race card" you speak of?

13. You forgot the Manchurian Muslim emails, the remark about Obama
selling drugs and Bob Kerrey's remarks about Obama's family and him going to madrassas. The list is quite long.

11. Sorry but, the Clintons are stoking the controversy. Not Obama or his
supporters. I have never in my life heard the kind of language used against ANY candidate that I've heard against Obama. The Clintons are using a scorched earth campaign against Barack. Fine if they want to do that but they do it at their own peril.
