Michigan question
Can someone fill me in on what is going on in Michigan? I see veiled messages that dems should not put their name on. I see stories that the delegates won't be seated. What is going on? Is Michigan even a real primary this year?

2. No, it's not a real primary. (details)
Not all of the Dems are on the ballot and none of them are allowed to campaign here. Michigan delegates are currently unseated at the convention.

Your choices are to:
1. Vote for your candidate of choice (if that person is still on the ballot)
2. Vote uncommitted (if the candidate of your choice is not on the ballot)
3. Vote for a Republican candidate (some Dems think it's a good idea to vote for Romney to try and screw with the GOP)

But if you're looking to support either Obama or Edwards, their people are asking you to vote "uncommitted"

That's how it stands right now (as I understand it)

5. THAT is an interesting question. And how you feel about it, probably...
...depends on how you feel about Hillary. I believe there are a few threads discussing that very issue.

6. The primary is real but no delegates from it will be seated
The DNC does not support the primary and says it will not seat any delegates selected from it. Many candidates did not put themselves on ballot and are not campaigning there in solidarity with the DNC.
For info on the ballot including who is listed see here . . .
