I'm an atheist myself, but I've been leaning towards my uncle's religion - he's a Clausian.
He believes in Santa Claus, and the holy trinity (Santa, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy).
And then when you die, you're frozen until your sins are forgiven by Santa - then you come back as an elf! :)

5. My quandary

They are so simple in their complexity or vice versa.

Are they just plain old run of the mill ignorant of the constitution or is it deliberate and are the sheep taught to be ignorant? In either case, their ultimate goal is to either destroy the constitution or rewrite it so only "they" have any liberties. They are enemies of the constitution plain and simple.

And I appreciate his view from a Catholic perspective. There are many Catholics who find the public statements by politicians on their personal faith life distasteful. I realize the media likes to know this kind of thing. I liked Kerry's way of answering that kind of question. He talked about social justice and that type of thing that properly IS the realm of politics.
