Is Obama warming up to Fox News?
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0108/7834.html

On Wednesday morning, Sen. Barack Obama appeared on “Fox & Friends,” giving his first lengthy interview to the Rupert Murdoch-owned network since declaring his presidential candidacy.

Perhaps even more surprising, Obama indicated earlier this week that he might one day appear on “The O’Reilly Factor.”

On Monday, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly aired his much-talked-about “scuffle” with an Obama campaign staffer during a New Hampshire event. When O’Reilly got Obama’s attention, he asked, “Can we have a word sometime?” The Illinois Democrat replied, “How about after the primary?”

While it’s not clear from the Fox News transcript whether Obama meant after the entire primary cycle or just New Hampshire, either way, it looks like a strategic change.

2. No
The candidate conservatives are all swooning over, the candidate Republicans are proving their affinity for by voting for him is Barack Obama.

12. Hillary is the Princess of Peace! The DLC is the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party!
She never triangulates or poll tests anything! She always stands her ground! :eyes:
I agree with you, Republicans and independents hate her. Too bad so many people on the left hate her too.
Good luck achieving the Clinton/Nader/Bloomberg/Republican race you desire.

4. Fox "News" is not a news organization. It's a propaganda arm of the Republican National Committe
Edited on Fri Jan-11-08 12:10 AM by ruggerson
When one makes the decision to appear on a propaganda network, one is lending legitimacy to that which is illegitimate.

14. She was on Fox News Sunday
and she was lending them credibility by doing so, also. No Democrats should be appearing on their "network." They don't even use the word "Democratic" as an adjective.

I agree. I'm not happy with Obama over this. However, I think the nominee should go on Fox

9. Agreed.
I think it's a mistake.

Howard Dean had it exactly right when he called FOX the propaganda arm of the Republican Party.

21. By the way, how much money has Murdoch given Hillary?
Oh yeah, it's right here.

But yeah, Obama went on some crummy morning show nobody watches. If you were any more stupid you'd need to remind your heart to beat.

20. Do you EVER do any research before you post this crap? Have you watched
the CSPAN coverage and other film of the incident with O'Reilly v Obama? If you had, you'd know what really happened, what was really said and how, and perhaps you could clarify this report from Politico, whose authors didn't do THEIR research either !

There is absolutely NO journalistic integrity left.

22. Remember Obama wants to reach out to everyone
His reccuremt theme is that we need to unite this country and bring together Democrats, Repugs and independants if we are ever going to have a realistic chance of bringing about real change.

As a Democratic partisan, I'm not sure that I am comfortable with that point of view. However, Obama's appearing on Fox seems to me to fit right in with his aforementioned strategy. And as was already pointed out, Clinton has also appeared on Fox. And so has Kucinich.
