Women are sure to react negatively too that. I suspect Edwards may try that line of attack, but Obama needs to avoid playing along.

4. I think that is a misrepresentation....
Hillary was attacking Obama, who seemed not to be defending himself very well.
Edwards chimed in (he should not have) - and it looks as though they were a team.

Obama was actually the background - Hillary was attacking; Edwards was defending.

2. He needs to tiptoe around her
I don't think it's a big deal, he has used humor effectively to neutralize her in the past. Maybe Richardson knew something the rest didn't, which is why he kept trying to stop the attacks on Hillary. I think Obama has the message now for sure. We'll see how it goes.

3. Obama and Edwards sure looked like they were
tag teaming Hillary in the debate last Saturday. Edwards did use that line of attack on Saturday and Obama did play along. It was all very strange. One part of the reason Obama lost NH.

6. He didn't say anything. She attacked him, and Edwards was the one to respond.

5. I think that's a bunch of bullshit.
I saw the debate and didn't once see Obama take the bait. The guy's a pro and he's not that stupid.

9. Obama has never done it
it's Edwards who tries to connect himself to Obama.

i think it might be a good thing if Obama comes off as complimenting or defending Hillary if it happens again.

10. I agree that it looks like ganging up.
And the negative reaction wouldn't be limited to only women. It's become routine now for Obama to say something and then Edwards ride his coattails in a more direct attack on HRC. So far, I think Obama has maintained a distance from that kind of "piling up."

12. Yes let old Barry come after HRC in the next debate and she will
Edited on Thu Jan-10-08 11:27 PM by BenDavid
not just sit there but will go after his jugular again. In such a loving and caring way of course If then he comes back at her then Barry comes across as too damn mean.

15. Have you ever.. EVER heard any other candidate for President or their supporters
whining like this, in this rough and tumble and BRUTAL world of politics and debates and smears? What a piece of hypocritical bullshit.

13. Here's the thing about Equal Rights and trying to claim you shouldn't be treated differently...
(repost from yesterday, still relevant today)

Did anyone see the republican slug-fest debate? Does anyone remember the snarky slug-fest Democratic debates of years past? We WAIT for moments like this.. those unscripted cuts and jabs. "You're no Jack Kennedy" easily comes to mind and a dozen others I don't have the energy to type out.

But I guess everybody has to tiptoe now, because there's a woman in the race and she might get her feelings hurt, or the man (men) might seem to be bullying?? Especially a ::gasp::: black man. Are you freakin kidding me??

Where are all those hypocrits who think Hillary should be treated no differently because she's a woman, now that she's getting the pity vote?

14. Watch Edwards Calmly Dissect Both of Them on Tuesday... Just the Three of Them Now!
It WILL Be Enjoyable.

Lets Hope they finally ask some serious questions?

Obama and for that matter Hillary need to answer some open ended questions then watch 'em F it up if they don't have anyone to follow.

This WILL be the best debate thus far! :nuke:
