Are you going to be a bunch of wimps, and vote elsewhere? I'm curious. Is your loyalty to the party, or just to one person?

9. It's Not Flame Bait, And It's Not A Troll Pole. This Is A Real Question. This Happens
Don't act like Dems have never said this about other candidates. This isn't something out of blue. Obama fans are pretty fanatical, no offense. I'm wondering if they're going to retaliate and not vote for another candidate who may get the nomination and not him.

36. you are right..
Listening to Ed Shultz today...and some of the callers are very...I'm sorry to say racist...and they were NOT white callers. I;m hearing more and more...I'm scared this may turn into a huge Black vs White (woman) thing..even on C-span I'm hearing a ton of racial comments. Somebody is spreading rumors in SC claiming Hillary is a racist...How come she didn;t cry in public for Katrina victims... and trying to anger SC black voters. I don't like what's going on at all. This race has really gotten ugly..and we are supposed to be better than the righties.

78. So are we. Sadly, even if Clinton or Obama is elected President,
the chance of getting decent, AFFORDABLE healthcare is remote. We've been holding out moving until the outcome of the next election, but I don't know why. Maybe it's because it's so hard to face the reality that after decades of hard work, playing by the rules and contributing to the country, it has left us high and dry when we need it most. It's very depressing. We might have to wait in line for healthcare in Canada, but at least they'll allow us to get in the line.

...simply because most of us probably never thought he'd make it this far. A few months ago, I expected Obama to be toast by now--show's what I know.

So in the meantime, I acclimated myself with Hillary and Edwards, and I'm convinced they'd make good nominees as well--just not as good as Barack. :)

13. Cry for the death of America.
I know that is not a good thing to say but I find it impossible to blot out of my mind her selling of Iraq. Her willingness to threaten Iran is rings in my ears. The fact that she made threats about terrorists attacks when she was pinned in a corner in NH says a lot. She is an apple that falls not far from the Bush tree. Too sad.

And now we don't have the WTC, 3000 American civilians, almost 5000 American troops (and counting), probably more than 100,000 Iraqi civilians, and our reputation and prestige around the world.

All because many democrats were unwilling to swallow their pride and vote for Gore.

26. I'll be voting for the Supreme Court appointments
While I truly do not trust Hillary at all, after her blank check to George Bush in the Iraq War Resolution abomination and after she voted in favor of Joe Lieberman's Iran bill, I would still expect her to make far better Supreme Court appointments than any of the Republicans. I think the progressive women of America would charge into Washington D.C. with pitchforks if she appointed right wing justices who overturned Roe v. Wade. I think she's intellectually qualified to be President. But I don't expect her to do the right thing about the Iraq War, about brokering peace between Israel and Palestine, and about a host of domestic issues. I do think however that we can probably trust her on the Supreme Court, which is itself a gigantic issue. So I'll be voting for Hillary Clinton if she's the nominee.

32. I'm undecided about that. There's time to decide later. The 3rd choice is not to vote, I guess. .
I'll probably vote for her. But maybe not.

I have some serious problems with her politically. I think the Iraq War vote was part of the plan to run for President, when it should've been what's best for the country. I still can't forgive the Clintons for NAFTA, which started the rapid siphoning of jobs to other countries, particularly because there were no wage or environmental controls. And I have a problem with her ins. co./big pharma funding...this means that any resolution of the healthcare problem will be something that ins. cos. and big pharma want.

Also, she favors coal for fuel. "Clean" coal they like to call it now. Just getting the coal from the land is mega-environmentally destructive. AND there is no such thing as "clean" coal. There could be cleanER coal.

Also, I don't really trust the Clintons. They're not always truthful.

So voting for her would be a big problem for me. But if others keep bashing her for being female, I would reconsider.

34. The Clintons have only loyalty to themselves and their DLC ilk
Installing these people in to ignore progressives and liberals would be crushing to the party as a whole and frankly voting for a Green Party candidate would be better for the Democratic Party in the long run. So in that sense voting against Hillary is putting party before a single candidate.

The last thing we need is more DLC "centrist" control, more of these Bush Blue Dog types running the show and our party. Just because Republicans are disenfranchised with Bush doesn't mean we need to let them come to our party and dictate to us how we need to rule our party like Conservatives.

We MUST win back some red territory, and that means winning ack moderate I's and even some thoughtful R's which Obama can do. That is the risk with Hillary. However, if she is nominated I will work like hell to get her elected because we can not stand four to eight more years of ultra-corrupt Republicanism. That goal transcends all. 59. If Not Obama, Then Lyndon Larouche
Just kidding.

As someone who deeply, deeply opposes Clinton's bid for the Presidency - as if hundreds of thousands of lives depended on it, as was the case with her IWR vote - I can say that this is flat out wrong.

If anything, this is Bloomberg's minions trying to float a rationale for his candidacy in the media. He knows that a uniter like Obama makes his whole post-partisan thing irrelevant.

But regardless of which Democrat wins, I think we are ALL going to be fired up behind our candidate. After 8 years of Bush, I think liberals are chomping at the bit in a way that the conservatives simply are not. They are yawning at best with their field of candidates, the holy rollers don't have the same zeal - even if Huckabee was the choice.

I am a big, big supporter of Obama's vision for re-framing the "war on terror," the health care debate, energy independence, anti-nuclear proliferation - and his ability to bring moderates to our side to get things passed in Congress.

That said, I'll inject a healthy dose of sanity for Bloomberg and tell him that regardless of where the nomination process leads, we are itching for a Democratic win and won't rest until we've scratched our way to the White House.

72. It is true that Obama is a wonderful orator
and that listening to Hillary is like listening to shaking a bag of broken glass BUT, I checked out their voting records in the Senate for the last two years and they are essentially identical. Obama was absent a few more times than Hillary but there was almost no diff in voting between the two. Certainly Hillary is more annoying but her history is quite similar to Obama's!

81. Which ever one of these 2 get the nomination............
We will be more divided than ever. But I'll hold my nose and vote for the nominee, unless there is a good independent who runs.
