It was leaked the day before the Primary that Kerry would be endorsing Obama, but the endorsement was being held back for the right moment since NH seemed to be in the bag already.

Do you think if it had happened earlier that it could have swayed NH to Obama?

1. I'd bet so. Ah, well, "Kerry" and "miscalulation" go together like "Bush" and "lies."

2. Who knows...
...but I'm pretty sure Obama narrowly losing NH had something to do with it. If he had WON NH, Kerry would have wait until later in the year.

6. I'd bet the intended plan was,
Obama sweeps through NH, Nevada and South Carolina on momentum. We head towards Super Tuesday, where Clinton is going to make her big stand. Meanwhile, Kerry (and a few others) endorse Obama, signifying that the party establishment has decided to get behind Obama, signaling that it's time to come together behind a victorious Obama campaign. Obama handily wins Super Tuesday, takes nomination.

Man plans, God laughs. Politicians plan, voters laugh.

3. How popular is Kerry in NH?
Yeah, I know he won there in 2004 and I know he's from a neighboring state, but I don't like Larry "widestance" Craig just because he's from a neighboring state.

Yes, it is probably why he won the primaries against Edwards.

7. Impossible to say, but it is possible that the Obama campaign was waiting to
get these endorsements out after NH that they were expecting to win easily.
