George Miller endorses Obama

He is Pelosi's right hand and from the Bay area. Does Pelosi not want Hillary because she has shorter coattails?

And, yes, the down-ticket impact is said to be a big factor.

3. It is a huge...unstated issue.
Its Oba, who will bing new people to the party. It is Hillary who puts the Senate majority more at risk

4. I've heard Pelosi and Hillary don't exactly love each other
I think Pelosi is probably pulling for Obama in private, if only for the reason it'll help her keep her job as Speaker.

8. The President does NOT decide the Speaker of the House.
But keep pushing the meme that women in power don't want any other women to get there.

9. I meant that Obama has coattails and will bring more Dems into Congress
Hillary is suicide for the party. She has reverse coattails and could hut some of the gains we had in 2006. That's why Pelosi would favor Obama, if only for self preservation.
