Why should Kerry have endorsed Edwards if he feels Obama is better for America?
Why are so many people acting like Kerry crapped on Edwards when he didn't say or do anything but endorse Obama?

3. cause there are a bunch of crybabies...

I have been supporting Edwards, but I think Kerry has reasons for this and I have a great deal of respect for him. I'm going to support Obama.

4. Sour grapes. Just like Kucinich, Kerry simply preferred Obama.

5. Loyalty. Kerry lost his election on his own, not because of Edwards.

7. He shouldn't have. He just could have picked one of the other 49 states.
Despite the differences between Edwards and Kerry, the man could have shown a tiny bit of class and chosen a different venue.

10. Of course there's bad blood between them
but I still stand by my statement. All of these folks are senators. They have a shared comaradarie or at least the pretense.

It would have been a lot classier not to come out against a fellow senator in his home state. That's all.

14. Well, if you did any actual research and have facts
You would know that Edwards was born in South Carolina.

16. And he's lived in North Carolina since he was a child. NC is his "home state."
Edited on Thu Jan-10-08 12:12 PM by Occam Bandage
His father was a millworker there. He went to school there. He went to college there. He went to law school there. He married, had children, and started a career there. His charitable foundations are based there. He represented NC in the Senate. NC is his home state.

15. Kerry chose Obama for the 2004 convention keynote address
because he saw him as an example of where the party should be headed. The endorsement makes perfect sense to me.
