Obama endorsed by National Labor Union, United Assocation of Plumbers and Pipefitters
ST. PAUL – The Minnesota for Obama Campaign on Wednesday announced the endorsement of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters (UA), a national labor union with 340,000 members nationwide and 9,000 in Minnesota.

The campaign also announced it will open two new offices in the state as Sen. Obama’s grassroots organization gains momentum in Minnesota heading into the Feb. 5th primary.

“Barack Obama is the UA’s choice because he has always fought for working people throughout his career and will do the best job of bringing badly-needed change to Washington,” said UA International President William P. Hite. “Senator Obama will help us keep existing jobs and work to develop new higher-paying jobs here in America, reform our health care system, fix our ailing schools and make sure that the pensions of our retirees are safe.” The UA is the first national union to endorse the Obama campaign.

7. In their announcement they referred to Penn's labor busting connections
Sweet - there should be consequences for hiring people like that.
