Question to DUer's, does it not bother you at all that elections will be counted by paperless trail
voting machines. I'm not claiming fraud on Hillary's count or Obama's Iowa results but merely asking, can Hillary's or Obama's election results be verified --> simply verified and I was told , NO! Diebold has once said; " you'll just have to trust us" and with November's election up the road I was wondering if this has all been put to rest or forgotten about?

Any input is greatly appreciated thank you...

1. Of course it bugs me. I mean, I have paper ballots in my little town here, but the fact
that many larger cities are using unverifiable voting systems bugs the crap outta me.

2. Open Transparent election are the only option acceptable. Death to paperless ballots and death
to "proprietary" software counting our ballots.

3. The truth is the Democratic Congress does not give a damn
If they REALLY cared they would have done something after the 2000 election

As far as NH being wierd, not really. The MSM played the country for suckers. They failed to mention that 17% of the voters in NH were undecided a day before the election. That is extremely large. Yes, most could have done their own due dilligence by didn't

4. Face it, if there wasn't election fraud
we wouldn't be allowed to vote.

"It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything."

6. Yes it bugs me
and I think efforts to stop "paperless" voting should be a major Dem effort in the months to come. However, what I noticed yesterday and today on the DU was a "Hillary must have cheated" refrain regarding the machines, smearing one Dem candidate because others wanted to see a different outcome. It's going to be hard to get people to rally together if one group would rather cry "conspiracy" rather than work toward ending the paperless voting system.

9. optical scan paper here
in many places you can ask for a paper ballot even if they use other method.
They might not have enough, but its worth doing.

For close elections, I've actually written my name on the ballot to make it more difficult for it to be discarded in a trash bin

12. Yes it does
In 1980, the town where I lived tried out "video voting", similar to touch screens I've seen nowadays. Anyway, I tend to vote for "odd" candidates for certain offices, just to make sure my vote is counted. The local paper always gave a full vote count for the entire ballot, so I could do this. Anyway, for my precinct, my choices got 0 votes. I immediately called the County Clerk and found out that the machines had "swallowed" the first hour's ballots! The clerk assured me that they would never use these machines again, and for the next 9 years (as long as I lived there) they didn't. I've never trusted voting machines since then.

15. I am absolutely upset by this!
Without jumping into supposition about anything that could have happened in N.H., I think it's horrendous that we are expected to trust Diebold, Edison Mitofsky, CNN or ANY entity with our democratic process. One has to ask as well why this Congress hasn't pursued this matter. And furthermore, I don't like being expected to shut up here on this forum by anyone for my questioning this matter!
