27. Same here.
What happened to DU? I know people are very passionate about their candidate, but lately DU has become a down right hostile place.

It's almost like a old west town around here...disagree with someone and you have dozens of people ready to pound down on you. It's more of a mosh pit than a discussion board these days.

I want a real campaign season, with our ultimate nominee thoroughtly vetted and well-tested by the process in order to meet and beat the Republican nominee come November. Anointings or coronations we do NOT need.

8. I'm grateful for DU. It's a great gut check kind of discussion board.
The results baffle me. I'll be saying cryptic shit like, "Well a dynasty is at least not as bad as another four years of watching Republicans shred the Bill of Rights".

I'm not happy about the results. I don't want Clinton as our nominee. But it's an act of a grown up to accept the results of a democracy.

14. I had hoped there would be someone to vote for this fall.
Unfortunately it looks like Clinton is back in this thing.
If Clinton is the Democratic winner, I'll have to choose either to vote Republican or for myself. I would love to see Obama and Edwards team up but unfortunately they are going to "split" votes and hurt each other.

15. if there was any feeling of let down
it was mostly from getting the prediction wrong rather than Obama finishing a few point behind Clinton.
I still have the luxury of being able to be an undecided (my primary is in May)

Our party did great yesterday, turnout for the D's at 285K, R's 210K. We're going to go on and have a good contest in the coming weeks and our candidates will only improve.

16. Still proud of Bill Richardson.
12% of the pre-stupid part of the Iowa caucus, over 13,000 real votes in NH, and stayed above the negative campaigning of the MSM's "top three".
The most qualified candidate is still in race!

20. I have mixed emotions this morning.
I'm thrilled that Democrats have finally decided to get involved in the process of electing our next President. The turn outs and voter registrations for Democrats have been awesome, so in that respect I'm thrilled for our party.

But I'm still concerned that so many are allowing the media and big money to elect our next President. It's so clear to me, I wonder why others can't see it.

He/she who has the most money does not equal the best candidate.

When you have a main $tream media that profits from war as well as reporting the news, they have a conflict of interest. Since profits from the war exceed those from reporting the news, they kind of like things the way they are, and don't want to see a lot of change. Just enough to keep the little people happy, can't have any big disruptions though.

People need to follow the money trail...follow the coverage of the candidates...where is the money going, who is getting news coverage...and who isn't. There are reasons for all those things, and people really need to open their eyes and start asking themselves some really tough questions.

If they don't, the media and corporate interests are going to get away with electing our next President - again - all the while making the American people think change is blowin' in the wind, when it really isn't.

So, not happy, not sad, just concerned but hopeful that more people will come around.

After standing for hours at the Obama primary event last night. Disappointed, of course. But NH was very close, and there are 48 more states to go. So the world has not ended or anything.

25. Depressed. In my mind, there will absolutely NOT be a
Democratic President now. Hillary may win the nomination; she will NOT win the election. Just review the attitudes in this place--and they are all Democrats! I entertained a houseful of Democrats last night and we watched the NH Primary returns together on my big screen TV. We were all chagrined, and trying to decide which Republican we could live with. And I've been a Democrat for 41 years!

26. I would like to have seen the Truman headline this morning
Otherwise, I'm feeling fine. Barack has one state with Hillary losing by 8 points. Hillary has one state with Barack losing by 2-3 points. A win is better than a loss, but a close-in second place isn't the end of anything. Also, considering where they each started, he still looks like the winner to me. South Carolina and Nevada will be tighter than it seemed a few days ago. But NH might have been a good thing for Obama, in that it showed the Clintons will not go gently and it showed his own successes can be glorious, but fleeting, and he is going to have to start fighting all over again in every single state. That this came early as it did is nothing but good.

Hillary's performance in new Hampshire was outstanding. She went in there looking like the underdog and knowing she had to do one thing, to reclaim the women's vote, and she did it. She had been complacent in Iowa and she knew it. She reached straight out for the younger women and she pulled them in. She was helped, not hurt, by the tearful moment, because John Edwards, to a lesser extent, and the media to a HUGE extent genuinely victimized her. Women weren't going to take that sitting down, no way. This did more to solidify the women's vote than anything else.

She needed to beat Barack into the ground (which she did not ultimately achieve, imo) and the campaign pulled out all the stops. Having a popular former president/husband/surrogate who knows how to beat on anybody, for right or wrong, could only help.

When it comes down to it, though, more than the women's vote, the final winner for Clinton, in my opinion, was the economy. Between the two of them they represented the stable '90s economy versus the free fall we are in today. It was the number one issue in New Hampshire. Obama is going to have to overcome this somehow. The women's vote will not be under the same pressure in other states to produce for Hillary. That was a one time bonus she can't rely on in future primaries. The economy is going to be with us throughout the elections.

After that, all I have to say is: GOBAMA.

32. FANFRIGGENTASTIC.
I feel hopeful again and a little hung over. After another Buckeye embarrassment the night before I was expecting more "salt in the wound." Perhaps the "young" were behind B.O. but as I said before, if they don't have someone there to hold their hand, you may as well forget about them getting out to vote. But the absolute best part of the evening? Looking at the CNN newsroom and the all the talking heads sitting there heads down looking dejected because they were not going to get the opportunity to drive the last nail in HRC's coffin, priceless. They looked like they were going to slit their wrists. Speaking of suicide, They are now officially on suicide watch over at freeperville, they are spinning so hard I think their heads are going to come off. And their boy F.T. isn't even a blip on the radar.

No, not really--I hate guns. I just wanted to throw in The Sopranos reference. :)

Honestly, I have no horse in this race. I'll probably vote Edwards but I've got no problem with voting for Obama or Hillary either. Actually, I was sort of glad to see Hillary win, but only because it makes it more exciting and more of an unknown. I hate the idea of the nomination being decided after the first couple of states. This is going to be the greatest wildcard nomination race this country has seen in a long, long time.
