Even though you are currently my next choice in line, I'm not giving in till Edwards does.

What this means, if there are enough of me, is that you will have to defeat Hillary Clinton without gaining a large number of votes from us. If you do that, then most likely Edwards will release his delegates to you. Otherwise, who knows what will happen. It has become customary near the end of the nomination process for the candidates who are not the front-runner to release their delegates and compel them to vote for the front-runner in a show of party unity. Perhaps that will happen this time. But perhaps this year will be a break from tradition. I wonder if Hillary would release hers to you if you did not have it sewn up, even if you were the front-runner. I especially wonder if Edwards would release them to Hillary if she did not have it sewn up, even if she were the front-runner. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't release yours to Hillary. Edwards might have to make a tough choice if you can't win it on your own. There could be a brokered convention.

It's too early to tell how this will all play out. But even if Edwards does not gain momentum, don't count on his supporters giving up and moving to your camp early on. We'll follow him till he makes his decision. We suck, I know. So you better kick it into high gear.
