I love being a Kucinich supporter...
Edited on Tue Jan-08-08 06:35 PM by bicentennial_baby
Sure, I know he's not going to win it all, etc, etc. I'm still voting for him on 2/5.

But, supporting DK allows me to be quite relaxed, watching the top tier supporters battle it out. It's kinda fun. :D

Good luck to all this evening! :hi:

8. I oscillate between Kucinich and Gravel.
Gravel got an endorsement from Noam Chomsky today, so I'm back in Gravel camp. :D

I support both of them, with money even. But, I'm going to vote for Edwards. In the end, I have a pragmatic streak, but politically Kucinich and Gravel are where I'm at.

14. I live in Vermont so I can afford the same.
I put up a good show, but in the end I usually vote my conscience. I support Edwards with more money, but in the end, I might cast my vote for Kucinich or Gravel on March 4th. Depends on how close things are at that point. We live in an imperfect world. :hi:

11. Hi there!
*sigh*

I feel kinda bad for switching to Edwards this time around. My vote isn't till March, though, so... eh, it'll all be decided by then anyhow.

17. Just that I think Edwards is the best of the top three...
I stuck with DK till the bitter end last time... but this time I'd like to try to push the most progressive "realistic" candidate instead of hoping against hope. That's probably a fairly weak reason, but *sigh* it wasn't a hastily-made decision.

23. Wow bb
what a nice way to look at things. I am simply happy he is out there trying desperately to bring the party back from the brink of Republicanism.

Knowing he is out there making his points makes me happy. Knowing that eventually enough people will hear him even without the media makes me happy.

Hey bicentennial_baby, you just made my day happy again! Thanks!

32. well, I feel kind of resentful about it
since the rest of the line-up is the same old same old, and poor old Dennis gets no credit for being ahead of the game on anything, even as he's shunted out of the process, and his platform is co-opted by opportunists.

33. Good ideas
are always co-opted. Even if by an opportunist, even then it brings them out to the public. As they get used to thinking that way they might be willing to actually give the real thing a try. Maybe. Or not. American Idol anyone?

34. well, that's the positive view of it
I'm more corrosively cynical, so I tend to suspect that co-opting the ideas renders them sterile, takes the edge off of them so to speak, allows, encourages even, people to accept counterfeits, cheap substitutes of the real thing.

American Idol? I'd rather watch American Gladiators!
