1. Yeah, but they're several hours ahead of us, so the polls are closed there.
Yeah, that's it.

9. It might be true, but...
...why wouldn't the Obama campaign put out word that they are expecting that? If media pick up on that, and people don't pay close enough attention that the source for that "news" is un-named people inside Obama's campaign, it can discourage supporters of Clinton or Edwards from bothering to stand in line at the polls in NH. These are the post work period in NH now, normally a lot of people cast their votes during the few hours before polls close.

Remember when the U.S. networks were prevented from calling elections based on exit polls while polls were still open? Remember the reasons? They apply here as well. That practive can be gamed.

11. Frank Luntz just told BBC TV that Obama's lead is less than 10 points
He is on a live satellite feed to Newsnight on BBC2 TV.

He says Obama is the Democrat that the GOP fears most, because of his ability to attract independents and swing voters.

16. Is your header accurate? Serious question...
Is the BBC literally calling NH for Obama or relaying reports from Obama's camp expecting him to win? If it is the latter than your header is a real problem for me at least, it implies that they are making a call based on non partisan sources. Not everyone reads the small print here or anywhere else, so I usually react negatively to distored subject lines, it too often is an attempt to manipulate - I doubt that's your intent - just saying.

22. They didn't say Obama had already won NH
But they did say it seemed that Obama was heading towards a big victory, and that his camp was expecting to win by a margin of around 10 points, based on early indications.

Back in 2004, the BBC used exit polls to predict that Kerry was heading towards winning the Whitehouse. But that's another story.
