Man, by the middle of January, I was saying some distinctly un-nice stuff about Dean.

But you know what? That was because I thought that he really was pretty much inevitable, and that he would win, and even though I wouldn't be totally happy because it wouldn't be Clark, I could still be confident that we'd take all of those hardcore Deaniacs and the gazillions of online bucks and just roll over the swing states and into DC.

Feh. Ah well, guess we can hope that all of us Dean and Clark DUers will get our mojo back in time to campaign very hard for Kerry (I hope, I guess) or Edwards for this summer and fall...

8. Personal favorite:

Clark is the head of a secret oil oligarchy. I thought I'd seen it all before that one!

Oh, and I finally corresponded with someone from NED and got the real skinny on the Chevez coup deal. NED was cleared btw. I think I saved it and I'm glad I no longer give a shit. The guy was there actually when Clark was interviewed.

No I don't miss the pissing contests because 1) I don't think anyone actually read the posts or the links 2) people just put together long unrelated posts that they recycled.

The grassroots got nothing out of these primaries. That is what makes me angry now, although it also has made me realize that it was those very pissing contests that took us down.

10. Dean was my guy, but Clark was my second choice.

I contributed to both and saw them both speak at fundraisers. I like Clark a lot, but Dean is my favorite politician of my lifetime. As with many of his supporters, he really struck a nerve with me that's hard to explain, and I cared more about him than I ever thought I would care about any politician.

11. On CNN the other day...

they showed some "behind the scenes" of the Dean campaign footage and someone was telling Dean that Clark was 4 points behind him in the national polls and Dean was like 'wheww'.

Ah, the good ole days.

I wish this race was Dean vs. Clark.....
