6. We actually had about 700 more at caucuses than expected
you actually had to go out to a caucus site, not your regular polling place. Mine happened to be only a few blocks away but for many it was in the next town. Then you had to sit (or stand!) through a half hour of local precinct business. With "Idol", all you had to do was make a phone call.

Locally the term "Hawaiians" refers to the indigenous native Hawaiian Polynesian people; all of us collectively are known as "Hawai'i residents", "Islanders", or (drum roll please) "kama'aina".
