Big turnout underway early in New Hampshire
MANCHESTER – Long lines of people formed inside some polls this morning minutes after they opened at 6 a.m. for the New Hampshire presidential primary.

Louise Gosselin, Ward 6 moderator, said election officials expected about 150 people to vote each hour at St. Pius X on Candia Road.

Instead, about 300 people each hour were casting ballots. By 8 a.m., 602 people had voted. About 70 new voters were registered.

"I believe if it continues this way we definitely will set a record," said Gosselin.

3. Regardless of what democrat wins today - It's incredible seeing this amount of involvement
It really speaks to the public's desire for change, and they're overall frustration with the way things are going. I just hope this momentum carries to the election, if not builds.

4. It's a madhouse
I spent the morning at Manchester's Ward 2. There were over a thousand votes cast by 11:30 AM. To put this in perspective, the ward matched the November municipal election turnout before lunch. There are a lot of election day registrants, which is good news for Obama and, to a lesser extent, Ron Paul on the GOP side.
