It's 16%. Here's quarterly stats since 2005. I'll put Clinton against Obama, as no other candidates are current senators. I'm not singling out an Obama/Clinton fight, they are the only two to which the argument applies. I cannot include your preference, Edwards, or obvious reasons. But I believe you'll find similar stats for Edwards if we compared '03 percentages to BO and HRC's '07 percentages.

They are pretty similar attendance records with the exception of the summer of 2007. Hillary Clinton, being who she is, did not need to be as active in her early campaigning/fund-raising, she's been a household name since 1992. Obama had to get out sooner.

I don't see much problem with either of them missing votes during the campaign. Remember, Hillary is backed by the Majority Leader, and Barack is backed by the Majority Whip. We're in control of the floor and the Repubs aren't sneaking legislation by because two votes are missing.
