Should Edwards drop before March 9th?

On March 9th Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, and Texas have their primaries. If Edwards does not drop before the 9th and loses all four states to Kerry, that may ruin any hopes Edwards has of a future political career. Imagine, he gets beat by a New Englander in his own backyard, the South, in an almost head to head contest. Even worse for him would be that Kucinich, Sharpton, and Dean, still on the ballot, would pull more support from Kerry than Edwards.

I think Edwards gave a good fight, but he is too conservative for the Democratic Nomination. His stance on the issues are to close to that Clinton who was first nominated in 1992. The Party has moved to farther to the left since 1992, 12 years ago.

What do you think? Should Edwards leave with honor now, or take the risk humiliating defeat on the 9th?

Edwards is young. I think he has a bright career in the future, no matter the results of this election.

he should drop after Super Tuesday. By doing this, it keeps the primaries in the headlines (which gives more Bush-bashing time to us), the race itself keeps the base charged-up, and his career doesn't suffer any long-term political damage.

The primary road show has been nothing but good for the party. I say let it last as long as it may, and let our nominees keep their crosshairs squarely on Bush.
