I think we should be rooting for McCain tonight. If McCain wins, you will have 3 different candidates winning the first 3 elections. It prevents Romney from gaining momentum. It is preferable for the republican race to remain in chaos for as long as possible.

1. I'd prefer Huckabee
Edited on Tue Jan-08-08 09:34 AM by Gman
I wanted Brownback as he was even further out there as a fundie but he dropped out early. I want the Republics to get what they deserve. A fundie candidate. Nothing would put their intolerance on display more.

2. No. He's their only viable candidate.
We would win big against any of them except McCain.

We would still win, but barely.

I want a big win.

7. I don't think he can win long term
He will probably lose SC to Huckabee, and NV to Romney.

6. Don't worry, MSM will declare it a victory for McCain no matter what. He won NH with 50% in 2000
and lost the nomination. This time, he will win it by a much smaller margin, but MSM will still try to help him get the nomination.

10. No No NO!
He takes votes from Obama today.

But I would much prefer Romney, Huckabee and Mcain Duking it out in SOuth Carolina because it exposes the real fracture lines in the GOP/. They can battle it all the way until Minneapolis.

YOu want Romney and McCain to be tied tonightand ROn Paul to come in third so that both can advance.

11. Don't worry about Obama. I didn't say you should work for McCain.
Just hope he wins. I agree with the rest of your post.

I honestly think he would be the best candidate for any of the democrats to go up against.

13. Then he will win NV, and go to SC with momentum
He will probably lose SC anyway. But I want chaos in their race.

McCain is going to be the strongest challenger on the Republican side...don't want him to have any momentum

17. McCain winning is our worst scenario
If McCain wins NH, get ready for a non-stop coronation in the press from now until November. He can do no wrong in their eyes and they will give him 100% positive coverage while tearing down the Democratic candidate.

19. Especially this year. The West is in play. The West is the DECIDING REGION
this year. That's why the Repukes are pumping up McCain now. If McCain is nominated, Obama will be torched in the West.

18. McCain would beat Hillary, and he would be 50%-50% against Obama, unless we're nominating Edwards
for sure, we cannot afford a McCain win in New Hampshire or anywhere.
