Pres and VP tickets - Democratic and Republican
Edited on Tue Jan-08-08 06:18 AM by LVZ
Obama / Jim Webb (VA)

The Dems need fading red state Virginia's 13 electoral votes and Jim Webb is a pit bull who will drive Republicans nuts, letting Obama stay above the fray.

Romney / Roy Blunt (MO)

GOP House Whip and former Southwest Baptist University President - would help with swing state Missouri and offset wariness about Romney's Mormon religion.

3. I'm thinking Obama/Clark would be a nice combo for the Dems
So we wouldn't lose Webb in the Senate. It would lend some national security and foreign policy gravitas to Obama.

4. That's a good point
And wasn't Webb just elected to the Senate? How much experience in national politics does he have? If Obama is the nominee, he needs to bring in someone like Clark to balance out Obama's lack of experience.

6. I doubt Biden would do that. He has a mound of work ahead of him in Congress.
Jim Webb would be a much stronger candidate, even moreso than Clark (forgive me, Wes).
