Sometimes people with great analytical capacities, who see "bigger pictures" just get frustrated when the rest of the world doesn't keep up with them and see things the way that they do. They might seem impatient and even strident as they try to drag the rest of us along with them, even though they are actually capable of great empathy and depth of feeling which they usually go to great trouble to conceal whether consciously or unconsciously.

I remember Hillary's first public misstep as was the whole "I could have stayed home and baked cookies" comment. This was just a snide little aside that I am sure she gave no great thought to, but which successfully alienated forever a whole generation/group/class of women who had different priorities than she did. This was just clumsy and silly on her part - she gained nothing and lost much. I think her career has been punctuated with incidents like that.

To me, she is overly analytical, and because she is innately brilliant, her mind most likely calculates probability statistics of which way a particular problem/issue will go at a particular time given all the knowns. I think she is a fierce competitor and I bet she likes to win at board and card games. To me, this is why she triangulates - she wants to be on the side of the winners and hedges most bets.

I think she has a natural sharp edge and suffers no fools (think Miss Jean Brodie- secure in the knowledge of her intellectual superiority which is based on reality).

I have no problem with anything I have described. My problems occur when she tries to disguise her true curmudgeonly brilliant self and turn herself into some clearly fake hologram of what some pollster told her would sell. I HATED her announcement with the false spritely "Let's Chat!" intro which was just a horrible portent of things to come.

I would give just about anything to see Hillary Clinton as a Supreme Court Justice - I think this is the actual role in life she was destined for and would be great at.

Naturally, this is my own impression based on nothing but my own observations. I am not writing this to disparage Hillary Clinton in any way.

1. add a good dosage of arrogance and
a tendency to hold her finger to the wind instead of searching for the reasons and principles behind and beneath the politics of the day, and I think you've got it.
