"Some of us are right, and some of us are wrong. Some of us are ready, and some of us are not."
Hillary clarified...

Does anyone else think this is a curious comment to make amidst her supposedly "genuine" emotional moment today?

5. So the moment was strategic and not genuinely emotional?
Ok.

8. Oh right. Why should anyone question what she says?
:eyes:

There's no comprehension problem. Believe me.

4. No. Because contrary to some opinions
She did not suffer an emotional melt down, she did not lose it. I think the feelings that showed in response to that question were genuine, but like any good politician (and we want good politicians because good politicians win rather than lose elections to Republican opponents) she never lost track of where she was or what she was doing, she brought her response back toward her central message. She is campaigning for votes AGAINST other Democrats because that is what primaries are about, they are competitive by design.

19. You have a neat world view of her
In your eyes there is hardly anything genuine about her at all other than negative qualities and sheer intelligence and as a result virtually every thing she does appears planned and calculated. In your eyes she operates like a haughty entitled ice queen when she is poised and self conficent and she operates like a cynical con artist when she appears to show emotions or indications of deeply held positive values. She can't win with you, and that makes you hardly an impartial observer.

21. I believe she genuinely wants the job
I just strongly disagree with what she plans to do if/when she gets it.

You are more than welcome to make it personal, but know that it isn't. I don't want a DLC candidate leading this nation, regardless of what sex, color or flavor they are.

22. People who I disagree with are as capable of being genuine as I am
You are the one who made it personal. Your reply is apples and oranges. It is possible to strongly believe Clinton is the wrong person to lead our nation for any number of reasons withoug making the type of assumptions about her that you did above. I know that some sincere people don't want Clinton to become President because they view her as a DLC candidate with all the negative implications many of us here have for that lable. That is a matter for honest debate, but Hillary gets hit with a lot of petty crap and worse here that an Evan Bayh or Tom Vilsak would never be accused of.

6. No
It's her stump speech. How many times a day does she say this ya think?

she probably mumbles it her sleep just like Obama and Edwards probably mumble their speeches at this point.

11. I get the OP now
if she is going to show emotion, in order for the OP'er to believe it, she has to breakdown sobbing and ranting irrationally. See? lol.

24. Well, Obama supporters prefer to claim that she was WEEPING. Weeping.
So, they, once again, are caught in a conundrum.

Either she was weeping hysterically, or she was an emotionless droid. Things are awfully simple in Obama-Land.

9. Here is a place to see the clip so people can judge for themselves:

Hearing that she broke down, I thought she was just exhausted. Seeing the clip, I think she staged the moment.

On edit: Hillary Clinton complaining about people talking about who's up and who's down? Is this the same Hillary CLinton whose campaign has been waving poll numbers at us for the last 6 months?

18. It wasn't a stump speech. It was a response to the question of "Who does your hair?"
And then the "moment" ensues.

20. oh and no candidate ever
takes a stupid question, and then uses it to launch into a bunch of talking points.

okay.

The fact that she got choked up over what she was saying at that moment reveals to me someone who was present in that moment and got swept up with feelings.
