Hypothetical: Mitt Romney Cries, Gets Criticized - Damn That Sexism.
Let's play a little game here. Substitute Mitt Romney, the early front-running, money-laden, "unlikeable" GOP version of Hillary for Mrs. Clinton in the day's events. Let's say he had a little emotional moment of his own, allowing the stress of the campaign trail to get to him on camera. What would happen?

A) Pretty much the same exact criticism.
B) Pretty much the same exact criticism, only it would later be discovered that Mitt is, in fact, a woman, proving those who cry "Sexism!" at every turn correct.

Whichever your choice, I can guarantee one thing: The Sexism Swarm will find some way to decry this thread as sexist. After all, we all know that anyone who tries to claim that criticism of Hillary might actually have a valid basis is a raging sexist who sees women as nothing more than walking ovaries.

11. Damn.
For a second there, I thought I could pull it off. I guess the only choice I have left is to fall into the deep abyss of sexism that is apparently tugging at my soul.

7. Really?
I've watched a lot of the cable news networks today, and virtually every mention of Mitt has involved some combination of the words "collapsing," "unlikeable," "flip-flopping," and "out-of-touch."

They're dogpiling, just like the Republican candidates themselves. I mean, did you even watch the Republican debates the past couple of days? Mitt has been the subject of enough zingers to have his own Roast.

9. Didn't see that debate. I have been watching...
...the news stations for 1 hour and 42 minutes -- it's been all-Hillary, and sounds like her obit.

10. Okay, "Hardball" just mentioned Romney...
...he's faltered, but is still safe.

17. Yes, they're prognosticating the elections... part of their job.
Gender aside, I think most observers would agree that her campaign is in boatloads of trouble. Hell, a fair amount of Clinton supporters are saying that themselves.

Hard to see the sexism in it.

4. How'd Muskie's crying work out for him?
If it were Obama, they'd be saying the same damn thing.

OBAMA CRACKING UNDER PRESSURE, TEARS FLOW!

8. Do you have any grasp of the word "hyperbole" whatsoever?
Really. It's astounding how you somehow manage to twist any phrase that's actually meant to mock extreme sexists into an accusation of sexism. In case you hadn't considered this possibility, the fact that I consistently make fun of actual sexists is a subtle clue that I... *dramatic pause*... greatly detest them.

12. Ah, yes, hyperbole of a particularly unpleasant sort is your specialty. Me thinketh thou doth
protest too much.

13. Interesting.
I suppose making a post in which I described blatant racists as "lynch-hungry KKK members" would automatically make me a racist, then. I had no idea that it worked that way. Gosh, I'm gonna have to start calling a lot more people I know sexists. How dare they make fun of other sexists.

if that happened.
