Edwards is the only Democratic candidate who beats McCain
in the Rasmussen poll for today.

Edwards beats every Republican except Giuliani and he ties Giuliani.

Obama beats every Republican except McCain although Edwards' margins of victory are higher than Obama's except against Giuliani.

Hillary loses against all Republicans except Huckabee and Thompson and her margins against Huckabee and Thompson are not high. If anyone should drop out of the race, it should be Hillary. There is no way she will overcome her negatives in the November 2008 race.

Edwards 46% McCain 39% -- Edwards up 7 points
Hillary 43% McCain 49% -- McCain up 6 points
Obama 43% McCain 45% -- McCain up 2 points

Edwards' lead is outside the margin of error against McCain

Now against the other Republicans

Edwards 49% -- Huckabee 37% -- Edwards up 8 points
Hillary 47% -- Huckabee 43% -- Hillary up 4 points
Obama 45% -- Huckabee 41% -- Obama up 4 points

Edwards' lead is outside the margin of error against Huckabee.

Edwards 50% -- Romney 34% -- Edwards up 16 points
Hillary 43% -- Romney 44% -- Romney up 1 point
Obama 45% -- Romney 39% -- Obama up 6 points

Edwards and Obama enjoy leads outside the margin of error, but Edwards' lead is way, way above the margin of error.

Edwards 48% -- Thompson 39% -- Edwards up by 9 points
Hillary 46% -- Thompson 44% -- Hillary is up by 2 points
Obama 47% -- Thompson 40% -- Obama is up by 7 points

Obama and Edwards lead by more than the margin of error, but Edwards' lead is two points more than Obama's.

Edwards 44% -- Giuliani 44% -- No winner
Hillary 44% -- Giuliani 45% -- Giuliani up 1 point
Obama 47% -- Giuliani 37% -- Obama up 10 points

Obama's lead is outside the margin of error. This is the only candidate that Edwards does not beat by at least some margin.

Most important, Hillary's favorable rating is 50%. Her unfavorables are 48%. 30% say they will vote for Hillary and 47% against her.

Edwards 49% favorables. Only 42% unfavorable. 23% they will vote for him and 38% say they will vote against him.

Obama has 50% favorable and 46% unfavorable. 29% say they will vote for him and 36% say they will vote against him.

Obama and Hillary have higher favorables than Edwards, but they also have higher unfavorables -- possibly because they are mentioned the more by the media than Edwards is.

2. Wait, the "Obama landslide" was what, 38%? That means 62%
of Iowa Democrats didn't like Obama, yet Bush's mediawhores keep saying, "America has changed, Obama has charmed the white man."
Anybody believe that? Remember what they did to Harold Ford? Who thinks America has changed in the last 14 months?

8. Are you absolutely certain you, an HRC supporter, want to assail Obama on likeability?
That will not end well for you.

6. A poll on the general election now is almost totally pointless.

If the last month should tell us anything it's that the tables can turn rather quickly.

7. Sorry but at this point polls are bullshit. They may be able to give you some idea
what people are thinking at this moment, but if you notice they are always changing. So that tells me that they are not a good predictor. If any of the Democratic candidates can't beat McCain.......I just can't believe it.

10. it's a snapshot. You've been informed of that repeatedly.
And it's immaterial at this point, just as Obama's 40 point margin of Giuliani in Iowa is immaterial at this point.

I understand that Edwards supporters here are frustrated and desperate; trying hard to reassure themselves, but this is silly. You need to focus on the primaries and hoping that your candidate manages to come within 15 points of Obama tomorrow.

13. Yeah
Any poll that shows Obama over the rest is "legit", but any that show Edwards over Obama, well you just can't accept that! Not that your one of the most biased poster around when it comes to Obama, now are you?:eyes:

I do have to agree that "all" polls are useless. Nobody knows what will happen after tomorrow, nobody!

15. LOL . If you read my post, you'd see that I said the polls showing
Obama with a huge lead over Guiliani in Iowa is just as ridiculous.
