7. Yes he did, as have many others whose toil is worth less than the smallest
percentage of inheritance tax paid by the >1 percent of the population Bush's tax cuts pamper and protect.

The point Edwards makes is pertinent by any measure because real people have sacrificed much to better the lives of their children.

I would offer that as a context for his emphasis on his parents' livelihood.
