THE EXPERIENCE THING (again) - Obama vs Clinton
It keeps raising its ugly head even today (mud sticks) it varies throughout the media as from Obama has 'no experience', to 'only a little experience' 'not much experience', 'less experience than Clinton'

Obama is a Senator - Clinton is a Senator (both have been encouraging in most of their bills except - Clinton voted for the Iraq war). Two years of quality as a Senator can be more qualifying as 8 years of the same. It's not necessarily the length of time you serve.

Being the wife of the President or Gov doesn't make one qualified for President. One might know where all the rooms are in the White House?

3. it's a potential issue for both of them
critics of both have cited experience. Being a senator or a rep. does give you washington experience and even some international if you go that way but president is a different animal.

NOW in their defense I don't know what "meaningful" experience JFK had before president but I don't recall him being a governor or a mayor or any such figurehead and while I don't doubt his charisma is what got him elected he proved to rise to the occaision during some of our more trying times; civil rights issues, sputnik, THE CUBAN MISSILE CRISIS which until 911 may very well have been one of the most harrowing times in recent US history. He talked much of hope and vision, some of the same stuff I've been giving Obama a hard time for. Is Obama the next JFK, I'm not saying that but Ive realized I can't give him a hard time for lack of experience anymore when I don't know if he has more than JFK did at the time of his run.
