NH Primary 2008 (D): Obama 36.4%, Hillary 34.5%,
(Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Barack Obama is the leader in the race for the Democratic Party’s United States presidential nomination in the Granite State, according to a review of the last six publicly released voting intention surveys. 36.4 per cent of decided voters would support the New York senator in this month’s primary.

New York senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is second with 34.5 per cent, followed by former North Carolina senator John Edwards with 21.2 per cent, New Mexico governor Bill Richardson with 5.5 per cent, and Ohio congressman Dennis Kucinich with 2.4 per cent.

This ARGM Poll of Polls takes into account the choices of decided voters. It has been used in the past to assess the outcome of presidential elections in the United States and South Korea.

4. Looks like New Hampshire might follow Iowa's lead
Clinton was ahead just a couple of days ago.

5. If those numbers are realistic...
then the Obama tag team strategy might work for him. He sided with Edwards, the weak link, and is attempting to use the team approach to stop Hillary.

Nothing wrong with the strategy, but we'll have to see how it all flies.

6. The poll result in the OP is confirmed by other recent surveys.
Of four polls conducted on dates beginning and ending 01/04 & 01/05, Obama is ahead in three and tied with Hillary for first in one of them. In two other polls that concluded on 01/04 and began on 01/02 & 01/03, Hillary was ahead. I think the beginning dates of the last two are significant. It looks like things started turning around for Obama on 01/04.

But things are close and we'll have to wait and see how it turns out, just like you say.

7. I disagree with your assessment that Edwards is the "weak link".
Edwards finished ahead of Hillary in Iowa and stands more than a puncher's chance considering his union support in Nevada and Michigan and his previous win in South Carolina.
