All the hate I'm hearing about Hillary tonight
You'd think that hate would be directed toward Bill O'Reilly, but no, nothing but Hillary hate.

Nice going.

3. It's not because she's a woman, however.
Before they said it was because she was the frontrunner, but now she's not. Yet...still the hate is utterly disproportionate to anything she's ever done.

Might make some wonder. Nah.

13. No, the claim that it's all due to sexism isn't a good point.
And that is the claim he's trying to make. Yes, there is sexism towards Hillary. No, not all the criticism here is due to that, as aquart would like people to believe. He has repeatedly fallen back on that charge regardless of the criticism being leveled, and it's not any more fair to the people that have genuine issues with her than the true sexism is to Hillary. To insinuate as he did that the criticism going on now that she isn't the frontrunner is all sexism is wrong, and weakens the charge when true sexism is being used against her.

19. At times, yes there is.
I'm not arguing that there is no sexism against Hillary. I've seen it, both off DU and on (sadly). However, the attempt to broadbrush any and all criticism of her as being sexist is nonsense, and that's what I'm commenting on.

I just hope Skittles doesn't kick my ass for it. :)

6. Just tonight?
It's all the time.

I would consider the criticism if it were more in line with the criticism of the others, but it's way over the top. I believe it's men who feel threatened by the possiblity of having a woman president. It may change the dynamics of the male/female relationship. Also insecure women and those who think she shouldn't have forgiven Bill. All of our opinions, whether you believe it or not, are personal.

16. It goes back to Bonior, Dean, etc.
Bonior (Edwards' main man now)was House Majority Leader (or Whip?) can't remember. He fought against Nafta, Clinton voted for it.

Bonior was so popular around MI that the Reps redrew his district (under Gov. Englert) so that he couldn't possibly win, and they got some dumb Rep lady (Candace Miller) to represent my district.

When Bonior ran for Gov, Granholm got the nod from the DLC and Bonior didn't get the nomination. Probably because he was anti-Nafta, which is the same as anti-Clinton.

Then there was Dean...the Clinton machine overran him and said he wasn't electable. Dem pundits on TV (Carville) were constantly on his case and had nothing good to say about him... I liked Dean.

So when a lot of us seem to hate Clinton, maybe we do, some of us. But with me, it's more of a distrust. How far will they stoop to control the Dem party?

Now, can we discuss her voting record? She's a good Bush supporter while she does an imitation of criticizing him. Buddies with all kinds of people good Dems shouldn't be in bed with..

she's the best candidate we have. Although there are other good candidates, she would bring the best kind of change to a country in desperate need of a woman's touch. One would think one was on some freeper board with all the bile spewed out against her.

I do not hate her or any other dem running. Some of the rhetoric is getting out of hand. She maybe DLC, but i will take her over a repug anyday. Personally, I'm all for Edwards. But I will vote for a dem no matter. Save the hate for W and Cheney, they will never be indicted or impeached, they deserve the hate, not dems.

On edit: Sometimes we need to take a step back and a deep breath to see the big picture. We need a dem prezident no matter.

39. The whole board could be a talking point for Fox news. The way the people here go at each others
candidates is disheartening to say the least. Very little substance if any. Mostly all on how the poster thinks they looked or presented themselves. They were "shrill" and "ugly (guess who..I have yet to hear either used to describe a man). They were stammering or stuttering. They must be so alike they can't actually point out where they differ on the issues other than using talking points about being corporate, rich, or inexperienced. I expect to see more in-depth civilized discussion than what happens here.

The more the vitriol, the more the fear. You do not attack the weakest of your opponents when all of your enemies are hitting you at once. You have to cripple the powerful, then eliminate as many of the weaker ones as you can before the big boy heals.
