A lot of people have a dog or cat and aren't yet aware of his abuse of his own dog because they aren't following politics. There is a high correlation between how a person treats an animal and how s/he treats people. If a Democrat had strapped his dog to a car top and driven many highway miles, can you imagine the outrage?
