Hillary compares Obama to Bush
but I'm sure its ok as long as it's not the other way around.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080105/ap_po/democrats_rdp

"He said he'd be a uniter, not a divider. He said he'd bring America together," she said of Bush. "He didn't need a lot of experience, he had this great intuition, he understood people, he could go meet with rogue leaders, look in their eyes and their souls, solve our problems. Remember that?"

50. Bogus thread...HRC did not say what the OP implies...
Yahoo made the following speculation in their article:

"She drew laughs from the audience with a derisive portrayal of Bush that could also be used to describe Obama".

The OP used this to assert (or imply) that she had compared Obama to Bush by name.
IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.

Let's not let the Media's agenda drive our discussions here.

(BTW... I support both)

51. But she impled what the OP said.
You'd have to be pretty naive to think she didn't, and sneaky is what HRC does well.

7. More stupid moves... she used the terror card in a speech yesterday
Saying with all the threats out there that she is aware of because she's been briefed, she is the candidate who can protect the country.

What kind of audience does she think she is speaking to?

Frankly, I think because of Bush's division, people are coalescing around Obama as he is not a member of the old guard.

Gee, bush finally did bring people together as he promised during his campaign... :o)

But, we're not comparing bushit to Obama. If hillary didn't like bush so much then why did she support his resolutions, laws, and bills for 5 years? Riddle me that?

29. I'm Not Surprised Given Her Thin-Skinned Responses Earlier
For all the press about her well-oiled, disciplined campaign, they acted very brittle and responded very incompetently to even the smallest criticisms.

which is what I'm seeing here.

Of course the candidates will respond to the criticisms.

44. I just heard the quote in context on C-span
she didn't mention Obama directly or indirectly. She was talking about No Child Left Behind.

That it was a reference to Obama is Nedra Pickler's interpretation.

He compared him to Bush because she decided to use the politics of fear.

Which comparison do you think is going to go over better with democratic primary voters?

By NEDRA PICKLER, Associated Press Writer

on edit: Here's the portion in question:

She drew laughs from the audience with a derisive portrayal of Bush that could also be used to describe Obama.

"He said he'd be a uniter, not a divider. He said he'd bring America together," she said of Bush. "He didn't need a lot of experience, he had this great intuition, he understood people, he could go meet with rogue leaders, look in their eyes and their souls, solve our problems. Remember that?"

Pickler's opinion injected before the Clinton quote.
