Richardson recieves NH newspaper endorsement
The Conway Daily Sun had this to say about Governor Richardson:

A handful of years as senator for each of them simply does not stack up to Richardson's powerful resume as a former congressman, energy secretary, U.N. ambassador, and now, governor of New Mexico.

Like our own Gov. John Lynch, Richardson is a big hit in his home state, where he is considered one of the nation's most environmentally-conscious governors. In New Mexico, he has raised the minimum wage, given all children under 5 access to health insurance, cut taxes and is pro-business.

On the national level, his experience negotiating with bad boys like Saddam Hussein, Fidel Castro and the North Koreans is world-renowned. Richardson gained the reputation as Pres. Bill Clinton's top international troubleshooter, and during the '90s humorously referred to himself as the "undersecretary of thugs." His success as a negotiator also earned him four nominations for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Richardson has heavyweight credentials for a heavyweight job; Obama, Edwards and Clinton, by comparison, have barely found their way into the ring.

Here's a list of recent endorsements by NH legislators and activists.

While I know that he is a super long shot at this moment, I'm still supporting him. Hopefully, he'll pull a surprise in NH. In addition to his resume, he has the strongest environmental record and proposals, the most progressive and detailed foreign policy proposals, and strongest civil liberties record and proposals of all the Democrats attending tonight's debate.

2. Thanks WesDem
I was a Bob Graham supporter in 2004. I haven't got a great record picking candidates that win the primaries but I believe you should always support who you think is best candidate regardless of what the polls and media say.

However, I'll definitely support any of the others for our nominee if Richardson drops out. Despite the grousing from folks on this board about this candidate or that, we've got the superior field this election.

3. I supported Graham, too
I was really waiting for Clark at the time, but I would have stuck with Graham had he not gotten out and Clark gotten in. I have tremendous respect and affection for Bob Graham.

4. Good for him! He's a good man with a good resume, I'm sorry he didn't get more traction.

5. Give me Richardson's get-it-done ability, Obama's charisma, John Kerry's integrity & ideals...
That would be my perfect candidate.

Congratulations to Richardson on the endorsement, and thank you for continuing to support the most qualified candidate in the race. :toast:

6. Nice pick up for Richardson
The Hillary camp thought this was theirs. One of the Sun's columnists. Mark Hounsell, is a militant Hillary backer with a nasty, very personal anti-Obama streak.

7. Bump for the Monday crowd.
Since there are only a handful of Richardson supporters on this forum, I wanted to give others a chance to see this.

8. "Richardson has heavyweight credentials for a heavyweight job"
"Obama, Edwards and Clinton, by comparison, have barely found their way into the ring."

I wish such common sense was more common...
