when we vote in the primaries on Feb 5. Keep in mind that the country may be in economic chaos, unemployment nearing 15%, banks closed, market at 9500 and falling. This is a possibility and our candidates need the face this issue and we need to judge our candidates and ask can they handle it.

If these are the conditions could the winning primary candidate refuse the job and leave it up to the convention. When you vote it should be about the next 5 yrs not the last 7. The job doesn't start until Jan 09.

Do I think this will be the situation in Aug 08, all the economic pointers are agreeing it will be. We need to read and focus on the financial news as much or more than the nightly entertainment polls and pundits.

Here are some link for quick reference to read and bookmark.

1. It Could Take Such Conditions To Wake Up Americans
Which is a waste and a crying shame. It would certainly bring Reality front and center, for once. And after economic Reality is finally confronting them, maybe Iraq Reality, and Corporate Fraud Reality, and other unmentionables, even 9/11 and Torture Realities would be confronted and addressed!

Of course, even under those horrible conditions, nothing could happen....
