Republicans gloating over Nader might be in for a nasty surprise...
Disgusted Libertarians, Gay Republicsns, Independents and others who won't vote for Bush again but don't like Kerry have an escape clause now with Nader. I think Bush may have cooked his own goose over this Constitutional Amendment sideshow. Andrew Sullivan and a Log Cabin Republican were on the tube night, saying they wouldn't vote for Bush again. There's got to be more like them out there. The Dems should use this issue, pointing out that Bush is dividing the country to change the subject of no jobs, phony war, etc. They should tear a leg out of George Bush's ass and beat him over the head with it.

1. SO true ....
and there is one other factor to consider: .. Democrats who DIDNT vote in 2000, and watched Bush steal the election, and who know Bush was unequivocally aided by a significant Nader vote: THEY will not be so nonchalant about showing up at the polls on election night ...

Nader could spark HUGE Democratic party participation ...

Let's hope so ...

2. Ralph Can be a Good Hatchet Man Against Bush
if he wants to. Maybe that's why he tried to convince Democrats not to worry.

4. Check this out....
http://www.counterpunch.org/nader02242004.html

Finally, I'd like to make a personal statement to Terry McAuliffe, John Kerry, John Edwards, Al Sharpton and ex-governor Dean: Relax. (Laughter.) Rejoice that you have another front carrying the ancient but unfulfilled pretensions and aspirations of the Democratic Party. Do not deny millions of voters the opportunity to vote for this candidacy. Everyone should have a chance. Everyone should argue on the merits, not on the money.

I also urge you, when you analyze this political campaign of 2004, to at least have the sophistication that is revealed by sports fans when they analyze their sports teams. Look at the dynamics before Election Day. Focus on what is being done. Analyze carefully the polls in 2000 before you start scapegoating the Greens for an election that Al Gore won but had stolen from him and had Democratic Party blunders fail to rescue it in Florida.

And lastly, please try to extend some of the finest rhetoric of John Kerry and John Edwards on the overwhelming dominance of corporate party -- corporate power in our country and on the need to reassert popular sovereignty, the sovereignty of the people, over the sovereignty of giant business; the sovereignty of real people over the sovereignty of artificial entities called corporations.

I think people should take their blindfolds off and start reading
between the lines about what is being said about Nader. Its quite
obvious that both political parties are afraid of what he could
start.
But oh well..."go Kerry"...

5. "Relax"!
And stop demonizing Nader.

Nader's done more for the Progressive movement than the majority of Demo politicians on the Hill.

Give the guy a chance.

If my traditionally conservative parents are considering about a protest vote for Nader...he's doing something right.

6. Finally, some reason has reached this board regarding Ralph Nader ...
And yes he will help oust Bush. It's too bad so many Dems feel such vitriolic hatred towards such a brave person. His run is not about ego but service to his country. I know I'd be hard-pressed to enter this campaign knowing how much hate would be spewed my way. Nader entered the race because Dean was done in by the media and the DLC. I won't vote for him but I admire that he has the guts to get in and bring up important issues and to bash bush whenever he can, which he will; after all, he's calling for impeachment!!

I hope he can help Kerry lean left -- something new to the Mass. senator, given his record of voting with bush.

The time is now for all progressives and anti-Iraq war protesters to ask that the Dems act like Dems. Nader will help that cause. Enough hatred for a man who has done more for his country than any of the candidates. Listen to him, support his views and then vote for the Dem. Nader will fight against bush getting another term. He's already said he'd drop out if the race is close. So what's the big worry?

"What's so wrong about peace, love and understanding?" (E Costello) -and what's wrong with opening up the process to force a neo-con puppet out of power?

3. Also, Nader
will trash chimp on every talk show. He will also include the dems but probably not Kerry by name. Ralph could be an ally we didn't expect.

7. We tried the Bush, Nader, Centrist Democrat approach in 2000.
We didn't get the White House.
