This is about a DU members friend: Soldier from Jordan, Minn., killed in Iraq

A friend of mine here on the DU knew this young soldier. The only words I can find are PEACE NOW!

A very Merry Christmas. And a happy New Year. Let's hope it's a good one, without any fear

A 24-year-old soldier from Jordan was killed when an improvised explosive device exploded near his vehicle in Iraq earlier this week.

The Department of Defense says Pfc. Joshua R. Anderson died on Wednesday in Kamasia.

He was assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division out of Fort Stewart, Ga.

Anderson is the 68th person with strong Minnesota ties to have died in connection with the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

2. My ex-wife's family is from the Jordan-New Prague-Belle Plaine area
I have a feeling they probably knew this young man (or knew somebody who knew him).

Sad.
