Obama never faced media and public scrutiny like he is going to face over the next 30 days
He is the front-runner and the full force and fury of the Clinton machine will be working every single day to take him out until Feb. 5th.

This will be a good test and learning experience for him.

If he survives, he'll have earned his chops and will be battle tested for whatever republicans throw at him.

If he falters, we'll know the republicans would have eaten him alive. Better to know someone is a loser in the primaries than after.

13. You've been complaining about the negative Obama supporters...
and here you are wishing for his downfall, post #3 is particularly offensive. This is simply to point out that your virginal complaints about the meanie "Obamabots" have a pot/kettle ring to them.

I hope my candidate wins without scandal or subterfuge, but I am just weird that way!

9. I hope whoever our candidate is
that he or she can fight back. It will be an interesting test for Obama over the new few weeks.

I have no doubt Hillary can manage through whatever the GOP is sure to throw at her.

17. Of course there will be scrutiny
Anyone we nominate will get it good. Bank on it. During the primaries rival campaigns will get out there what they've got and Obama will have to respond. As will others, I would imagine.

Don't expect to see the right wing media putting Obama under the microscope right now. They're just salivating at the possibilities of Obama in November. Rush and Hannity both fawn over him. That can never be a good thing.

22. Your posts about the economy are alway so spot on, but I just don't
understand your contempt for Obama. It's a mystery to me. I wish you would simply set our your argument against him in some logical, analytic format. You are very smart, so I assume there is something obvious I'm missing.

Why is Hillary so fantastic.

And what about Edwards, who is my favorite? Is he terrible? And if so, why?

24. Edwards is a fine candidate and would be my second choice behind Clinton
I just like Hillary more.

I don't like Obama because I think he is a poser. His policies are indistinguishible from Clinton's on 99% of issues yet he basically runs by saying the word change 100 times in a speech that says nothing. If you look at his books and rhetoric, it's Clinton style 90's triangulation Version 2.0. Nice shiny new box. But same contents inside the package.

I hate that he is becoming the American Idol candidate for the politically ignorant. I hate that Oprah is making him her project for mass public consumption like one of her book club books. People are voting on his personality and I think experience counts. You should be in the senate more than 2 years before you run for president. Period.

3 years ago he was in the Illinois senate debating issues on traffic lights and he thinks he has the experience to lead the country on Day 1? I'm afraid he'll be a figurehead president basically run by his advisers and aides. Just like Bush.

Those are my opinions. I don't agree with Hillary on everything but she's the most qualified to lead on day 1 of the options we have.
